| President
Jimmy Carter was surprised
when he visited Plains High School
Museum on December 6, 2002. Students
from all over Georgia sent him more
than 20,000 cards to congratulate
him on winning the Nobel Prize.
In their cards that lined the hallways
of the High School, students thanked
him for helping so many people all
over the world and promoting peace.
President Carter was very touched
by the beautiful artwork and heart
warming messages from students.
Speakers included students and Kathy
Cox, the newly elected State School
Superintendent; Ed Floyd, Deputy Superintendent
for GA Dept. of Ed., sang.
