2008 SUMMER TEACHER WORKSHOPS

The Georgia Department of Education will conduct a task writing workshop in Plains during June to work with the new Georgia Performance Standards for Social Studies. Participates will develop task for state-wide use. Teachers will be undercontract with the GA Dept. of Ed. and will develop task for the GPS that will be posted on www.georgiastandards.org . 

The Jimmy Carter: From Plains to The White House workshop will be conducted Sunday through Tuesday in Plains and then Wednesday and Thursday will be in Atlanta at The Carter Presidential Center. Participants will need to provide transportation from Plains to Atlanta. This workshop provides all meals, lodging and approxiamately $200 worth of books. The class size is limited to 18.
