MAKE PEANUT BUTTER
Ingredients:
- Roasted unshelled peanuts
- Vegetable oil
- sugar (optional)
- salt (optional)
Other supplies:
- blender for smooth, food processor
or grinder for chunky
- measuring cup and spoon
Begin by shelling peanuts and measuring
out 1 cup of shelled nuts. Remove
the red skins from the peanuts.
Use a food processor or grinder for
chunky style peanut butter by chopping
the nuts until they are at the desired
consistency.
Chop the peanuts in a blender for
a smoother consistency.
Add 1 - 2 tablespoons of vegetable
oil, a bit at a time, and regrind
or reblend until it looks like peanut
butter.
Add only a little bit of sugar or
salt at a time until it tastes just
right.
Store your homemade peanut butter
in a jar in the refridgerator.
